TalktoStrangers.live is a website for one-to-one video chat between men and women aged 18 and over. You talk to strangers on camera, but not with just anyone: men are connected with women, and every conversation is private between two people. The chat runs in your browser on a phone or computer, so there is nothing to install.

The video chat is provided by CooMeet, which manages accounts, matching and payments. Women’s profiles are verified by CooMeet before they can take calls. TalktoStrangers is an independent partner website: it explains how the service works, shows recorded previews and opens the chat for you.

Matching is random among the women who are available. The previews on this page are recorded introductions, not live calls and not a list of people you can book. Women who select Female continue to the women’s chat in a new tab.

It suits men who want a conversation with a woman on video, whether to meet someone from another country, practice a language or simply talk.

There is nothing to download, and you do not need to search or browse profiles. The whole conversation takes place on this website.

   Choose Male and sign up

   Select Start video chat, choose Male and create an account with CooMeet. An account is needed before your first free chat, and your Premium and minutes are linked to it.

   Allow camera and microphone

   Your browser asks for access. The woman you meet sees and hears you, just as you see and hear her.

   Say hello or move on

   You are connected with a woman. Free chats last up to one minute each; when the minute ends, you meet the next woman. For longer conversations, use Premium and minutes.

Free time is limited and becomes available again after a waiting period, so you can come back and try again without paying.

Written messages can be translated in the chat. Spoken audio is not translated, so a shared language helps.

TalktoStrangers is for adults only, and women’s profiles are verified before they can take calls. A nickname is enough in the chat, although your face and surroundings are visible on camera. You can leave any conversation at once and report inappropriate behavior in the chat.

• Keep your full name, address, workplace and social accounts out of the conversation and out of the camera frame.
• Never send money, card details or verification codes to a chat partner.
• Assume the other person can record their screen. Show only what you would show a stranger.
• If someone asks you to move to another app, pay for something or send private photos, end the chat and report it.
